Vacuum Testing Equipment A vacuum test of precast
manholes should be performed to determine their resistance to the infiltration and
exfiltration of water. The amount of vacuum lost over a specified time period will
determine if the manhole is to be accepted. This test allows for greater control regarding
the integrity of manholes. A vacuum test can be done in 20 minutes -start to finish. It is
the fastest and most cost effective method of testing manholes.
Our vacuum system utilizes a 5 H.P. Briggs & Stratton engine, along with a Gast vacuum
pump capable of pulling up to 40 CFM. Our pneumatic disc assemblies are available for
manholes 20"- 36" in diameter. A 38" and 44" Aluminum flat plate are
also available. All hoses, valves and gauges are included. Custom sizes are also
available.
